We’re proud to present to you a first for our school: an International Songwriting Camp held at our satellite West London location in Fulham. A great opportunity to give your songwriting progress a shot in the arm now and walk away with something amazing.
Hosting the camp will be long-standing Garnish songwriting guru Alex Von Soos, who’s had a UK No.1 and many other successful releases. To further increase the chances of the song to be written, Grammy-winning mix engineer and producer Aamir Yaqub will be mixing the track and also answer any production questions you may have. All songwriting questions will be fielded by Alex. Between them they really do have all the answers!
The song to be written shall be determined by the preferences of the writers in the room, and, additionally guided by major label pitching briefs circulating at the time. The main point of the exercise is to write a COMMERCIALLY VIABLE song. The number one benefit is meant be something altogether different though: to write your best song ever, a song you can—finally—be truly proud of.
There aren’t many better opportunities than this. This is because commercial songwriting camps are usually closed shops, meaning only open to already successful writers; and the ones that are open to everyone are being led by friendly, but not very professional writers who won’t push you to do your best work and are often no further advanced in their careers than the participants. Not here – you will be co-writing with a No. 1 songwriter, and finishing your masterpiece with a Grammy-winner!
We cap the camp size to 5, and the price is £1199/$1466/€1359.
