Dani Sylvia

Dani Sylvia

Dani Sylvia is a singer / songwriter who manages to capture how unreasonably awful it is sometimes to be who we are, without making you want to throw things at the radio. Her voice is a soulful and resonating sound of raw heartbreak, hope and generation now. She is a poignant artist of true individualism and awkward realism. Dani won Best Songwriter at The Unsigned Music Awards 2016 and has since been Featured Artist on BBC Introducing London with her debut single ‘Omniscient’, which was also Track of the Week on BBC Sussex/Surrey. The single then received spins on Radio 2 by Alex Lester.
Dani has worked at the prestigious Karma Sound Studios as part of a team writing pitches for artists such as Demi Lovato, Avicii and One Direction and has also developed artists signed to Rocket Music and Sony BMG. She toured the UK supporting The Feeling with her debut EP Monologues and has also worked with artists such as Paloma Faith, Pixie Lott, Sigma and Labrinth with Urban Voices Collective. The last eighteen months have seen Dani piecing together her project ‘Catharsix’ (six EPs released over six months) which is now available on all streaming platforms. The project made appearances on playlists such as Spotify’s New Music Friday, The Pop List, Brand New Chill and each one was played on BBC Introducing London. In July she is supporting Craig David at Kew the Music after headlining a sold out show at Camden Chapel in June, alongside creating her debut album ‘Made From Water’ which is due for release early next year.
“This is a name you’ll be hearing a lot of” – Alex Lester (BBC Radio 2)
