Final Cut Pro X is a game-changing video editing application, which lets both novices and experienced editors achieve extraordinary results. During our hands-on, three-day Final Cut courses, students learn their way around the user interface while diving in and performing editing functions. They study practical video editing using real-world media, exploring both basic techniques and powerful Final Cut Pro advanced features.
Students enrolled in an online Final Cut course must use two (2) computers during their class. One must be a Mac with Final Cut Pro X previously installed. The second can be a Mac, PC, or tablet. This allows students taking the course online to follow the exercises and view the presentation simultaneously.
By the end of the Final Cut Pro X course, students will be comfortable with:
- Applying exceptionally fast, fluid editing techniques for video and audio
- Using libraries to organize and manage media and projects
- Comparing alternate shots from a collection of clips
- Applying effects, transitions, and retime clips
- Fine-tuning clips in the timeline
- Working with 3D titles
This Final Cut course is great for students who’d like to learn to edit professional-quality video with Final Cut Pro, exploring and understanding the software with a hands-on and interactive approach.
Prior to the course, students should have a basic knowledge of OS X and how to navigate their way using a computer. We also highly recommend at least an introductory knowledge of key video editing terms and expressions.
