The Music Producer Program is designed for aspiring songwriters and producers.
You’ll be working in classes of no more than six people, with like-minded instructors and classmates, in a relaxed and fun setting.
This course takes an in-depth look at how you can use Logic Pro X and Ableton to write, arrange and mix your music to be the best it can be. Whether you’re a songwriter or an electronic producer, you will work closely with your mentors, who will guide you in making your music the best it can be.
You are guaranteed 120 hours of instructor led classroom time, mentoring sessions and access to the school’s studio outside of class time. You’ll have access to our studio’s range of plugins, instruments and hardware, including Ableton Push.

Logic offers massive potential in making your musical ideas sound incredible and professional. We will cover everything from the basics to the much more advanced. Our in house Grammy-winner is a huge fan of Logic and you will be learning in very capable (and musical) hands! You will leave the course with great knowledge and ample information to take your music to the next level, and to make the EP you have always wanted.
Discover the key concepts that Ableton Live offers, including the session and arrangement windows, clips, scenes, and warping. You’ll learn how to create tracks for your music, or make beats on the fly – it all becomes simple with our hands on instructor. What’s more, all GMP learners worldwide qualify for a 40% discount. The foundations of music are amazing in their own right and understanding them will save you hours of trial and error. Many producers neglect their music theory knowledge, but we don’t believe in shortcuts when it comes to learning the craft. Learn how understanding melody, harmony and rhythm can take your music to the next level.
You will gain important skills such as microphone setups, managing sound levels, controlling inputs and outputs and an overview of the hardware that is on offer. The science behind audio engineering is key to unlocking the sonics of your music. With key skills and a good understanding of audio engineering, the mixing and mastering process will become much easier and will allow you to open up more possibilities.
Learn how to balance the sounds that lie on your frequency spectrum, with the elements of your music flowing cohesively throughout the track. Reach new sonic heights by understanding EQ, compression, layering, effects, automation, panning, distortion and many more. Not only will this understanding assist you in making those sample packs sound huge, but it will also allow your music to reach a new professional level.
Learn how to make new and interesting sounds through subtractive, wavetable, granular, additive and frequency modulated synthesis. You will also cover sampling, resampling, glitch tips and more advanced beat-making techniques in this section, as you develop your sound. All of this will contribute to having a much bigger and unique sound for your music.
You will focus on getting your projects finished taking advantage of bespoke tips and advice in a concentrated blast of mentoring sessions. You’ll also be introduced to Ableton Live for performance by understanding how to take tracks to the stage and perform them Live for yourself and for other artists if that’s a route that interests you. Also, you’ll learn advanced MIDI techniques for every live scenario available today.
To finish off the program, you’ll learn how to create an effective EPK, market and brand yourself, negotiate deals, get genuine social media followers, and get the most out of digital distribution.
This course includes the VIP Short Course Pass, so you can add any of our shorter 36-hour courses (Ableton, Mixing, etc.) at a later date at any of our locations worldwide. As long as the course you choose exists and is running in the location, you get a spot!
