-Dad bought me a copy of Billboard Magazine and said: “If you want to be in music, read Billboard” -In the back, Interns for “Special Events”
-Phyllis Demo: “positions were filled” sent me to Eric Vitoulis in Sales, Monday: BOOM!
-My career began

-Intern Billboard Magazine/Amusement Business to full time
-Used to read the charts and say “Someday my name will be in magazine, on these charts”

Atlantic Records

-Worked in Publicity for acts like Rob Thomas of Matchbox, Jewel, Darius Rucker of Hootie -Loved country music
-Nashville without a job, got one on way down

Warner Bros. Nashville

-Thanks to Wade Jessen at Billboard, William Smithson from PR @WBS called: Hired -Downsizing
-Began temping labels, residential community met Burns McFarland
-Interviewed for an A&R position

-I wanted to be in pop music
-Getting ready to leave Nashville and get call

-Hired to do A&R Nashville, LA and set up NYC office -First opportunity to produce, Fringe

The entire physical universe is made up of pure energy and vibration. When you have the insight to see everything as vibration, the nature of the universe is revealed to you. Various groups of people around the world have been aware of this concept for thousands of years.

Ancient Vedic teachers taught Nada Brahma (the universe is vibration). The vibratory field is at the root of all true spiritual experience and scientific investigation. It is the same field of energy that saints, Buddha’s, Yogis, mystics, priests, shamans and seers have observed by looking within themselves.

Cymatics, from Greek: κῦμα, meaning “wave”, is a subset of modal vibrational phenomena. The term was

coined by Hans Jenny (1904-1972), a Swiss follower of the philosophical school known as anthroposophy.

Typically the surface of a plate, diaphragm or membrane is vibrated, and regions of maximum and minimum

The German musician and physicist Ernst Chladni noticed in the eighteenth century that the modes of vibration of a membrane or a plate can be observed by sprinkling the vibrating surface with a fine dust
(e.g., lycopodium powder, flour or fine sand).

The powder moves due to the vibration and accumulates progressively in points of the surface corresponding to the sound vibration. The points form a pattern of lines, known as nodal lines of the vibration mode. The normal modes of vibration, and the pattern of nodal lines associated with each of these, are completely determined, for a surface with homogeneous mechanical characteristics, from the geometric shape of the

Experiments of this kind, similar to those carried out earlier by Galileo Galilei4 around 1630 and by Robert Hooke in 1680, were later perfected by Chladni, who introduced them systematically in 1787 in his
book Entdeckungen über die Theorie des Klanges (Discoveries on the theory of sound). This provided an important contribution to the understanding of acoustic phenomena and the functioning of musical instruments. The figures thus obtained (with the aid of a violin bow that rubbed perpendicularly along the edge of smooth plates covered with fine sand) are still designated by the name of “Chladni figures”.
