Part 1: Level 4 Extended Diploma in Music Production (120 credits) provides a comprehensive foundation in recording, mixing, mastering, and creative composition. Learners develop technical proficiency in DAWs, sound design, MIDI programming, and studio production while exploring different genres and production techniques. They critically assess their strengths and artistic identity, refine their workflow, and analyze industry trends. The course includes hands-on projects, commercial music production, and monetization strategies, preparing learners for real-world industry demands. Business and branding modules equip them with marketing and self-promotion skills, culminating in a professional showcase, ensuring they are industry-ready for careers in music production and audio engineering.

Part 2: Level 5 Extended Diploma in Music Production (120 credits) refines advanced recording, mixing, mastering, and sound design techniques, preparing learners for professional roles in the music industry. They develop expertise in vocal production, innovative production workflows, including MIDI programming tools to sound like live instruments, while exploring business strategies for monetizing their work. Collaborative projects, live showcases, and industry placements provide hands-on experience in studio production, commercial music, and artist development. Learners also focus on branding, marketing, and entrepreneurship, ensuring career sustainability. The program emphasizes self-care, financial planning, and industry adaptability, equipping graduates with the skills to excel in a competitive global music market.

Part 3

Level 6 BA top-up in Music Production, validated by one of our UK University partners most suitable for you.

There are several pathways available, with a choice of validating universities, depending on your specific skills, needs and goals.

Apply to study at a University in the UK for a year to complete the BA top-up.  Tuition fees may be higher, and you will need a student visa.

Additional Information

No GE: There is no requirement for General Education, so you are 100% focussed on your subject.  Here’s more information on the differences between the UK and USA systems, and here’s some info on how UK degrees are regarded in the USA. See this for our licensing and regulation information.

Tuition Fees: £9,535/$12,000(USD)/€11,500 per year, as we align with UK university fees.  There are payment plans, but no financial aid.  Enroll in September, and the schedule is two days a week, with breaks for holidays.

Two-year Option: A higher intensity two-year option is also available.

No Academic Prerequisites: While no formal education is required, intermediate knowledge of your chosen field is essential, and all applicants will be required to complete a phone interview.  If you’re a beginner, a 120-hour Garnish Producer Program will suffice.

Accreditation and Regulation Information

Our Level 4 & 5 qualifications are internationally recognized and designed to provide world-class music education with real industry relevance. 1. About the Degree & Accreditation

  • The degree you are earning is officially awarded by Garnish Music Production, London, an institution based in the UK.

  • The qualification is accredited in the UK and regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, England).

  • Since this is a UK qualification, it is governed by UK education standards and does not fall under U.S. state licensing for degree-granting institutions.


2. How the Program is Delivered

  • All academic instruction and assessment are conducted online via Garnish Music Production’s UK-based learning platform.

  • Course materials, assignments, and grading follow the UK higher education framework.

  • External Quality Assurance (EQA) is conducted by accreditors to ensure that assessments are fair, rigorous, and consistent.


3. How Enrollment Works

  • Enrollments are handled by our UK admissions team.

  • This means that students contract directly with our UK institution, ensuring compliance with UK education regulations.


4. Student Support & Collaboration in the U.S.

  • Students in the U.S. have access to a collaboration space for networking, creative sessions, and optional student support services.

  • This space is not a formal academic campus and does not provide degree instruction. It serves as a student hub where students can meet, collaborate, work on their assignments, with the help of on-site mentors, and enhance their learning experience.

  • All assessments, coursework, and degree-related activities are handled through Garnish Music Production, London.


5. Recognition & Credit Transfer

  • Garnish Music Production’s qualifications are mapped to the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for students with relevant previous coursework or industry experience, following our formal RPL policy.

  • Students who wish to transfer credits or seek U.S. recognition should check with their institution or employer regarding equivalency.


6. Compliance with U.S. Education Regulations

  • Garnish Music Production does not operate as a U.S. degree-granting institution and is therefore not subject to state licensing for higher education in US States.

  • Since we are a UK-based awarding institution, our programs fall under UK jurisdiction.

  • Our US collaboration spaces are not formal teaching sites.

  • Students have the right to appeal assessment decisions or raise concerns under our formal academic appeals and complaints procedures​.

Year 2: Level 5 Extended Diploma Foundation Degree (120 credits) in Creative Industries Development, with a focus on Advanced Music Production Skills, Collaborative Music Production Project, Self-Care for Creative Professionals, Music Industry Showcase and Portfolio Career Development.

Year 3: Level 6 BA top-up in Music Production, validated by our UK University partner.
